Suspension: Bushes, Camber & Caster
Bushes
. To compliment our range of suspension components, we also carry SuperPro
and Whiteline urethane bushes. These are precision machined
and hand finished, using Super Pro’s knurled double
helix design. In order that your tyre/wheel tracks as closely
to preset geometry as possible, replacing your car’s soft OE rubber
bushes with SuperPro or Whiteline urethane
bushes reduces unwanted movement between suspension components (which happens
when stresses such as cornering or braking takes place). When the prescribed
geometry is maintained during cornering and braking, the car will grip more
tenaciously and be easier and more predictable to control on the limit.
Super Pro bushes are specifically designed for each vehicle, taking into consideration its handling characteristics and suspension design. Super Pro suspension bushes are available for most Japanese, European and Australian cars.
Camber
& Caster Kits. Cars with heavily modified and lowered suspension
will almost certainly have run out of camber and
caster adjustment. Poor camber and caster geometry leads to poor handling,
increased tyre wear and component failure. To remedy this, we carry camber
and caster kits to suit most cars. These alignment kits can be as simple as
an offset bush kit or camber bolt kit from Whiteline and
Super Pro to complete adjustable camber plate and control
arms from Skunk,D2 or Koni.
For
example, D2 do an adjustable arm camber and caster kit to
suit the Nissan Skylines, S13, S14 and S15. D2 also do camber,
caster and toe-in kits to suit the Honda Civic and Integra. SuperPro
do increased or decreased caster control arm and wishbone bushes to suit most
vehicles. Skunk II have adjustable camber upper control arms
to suit most Hondas.
Whiteline
alignment products are available for most vehicle applications, which include
the Subaru and Mitsubishi anti-lift kits, Nissan “donuts” or subframe
alignment and lock kit, camber bolt kits and other clever alignment products.
